★ iTerm2 – die bessere Terminal.app

Lange war ich nun ein Fan von der Terminal.app und habe immer nur alle anderen Varianten auf dem Mac kritisch beobachtet, jetzt entdeckte ich aber leider schon iConsole und war hell auf begeistert. Danach aber stieß ich auf iTerm2 und es ist…

…der wahnsinn. Viele Funktionen die ich vorher schmerzlich vermisste wurden nun super eingebunden. Natürlich in einem sehr eleganten Stil. Andere Funktionen gab es meiner Meinung nach bisher noch nie und sind nun komplett neu.

Shiny New Features

• Split panes: Divide a tab up into multiple panes, each one of which shows a different session. You can slice vertically and horizontally and create any number of panes in any imaginable arrangement.
• Hotkey: Register a hotkey that brings iTerm2 to the foreground when you’re in another application. A terminal is always a keypress away.
